Hengrove got off to a great start in their first game of the season, and took full advantage of a slope in their favour in the first half. After only 3minutes Gary Shorney struck with a free kick give Hengrove the lead, but within 10 minutes Frys had equalised when Robert Scriven latched onto a ball over the top from their own half. Hengrove then dominated the game and missed at least 4 good chances before Sam Milkins arrowed a half volley from 25 yards into the top left-hand corner. Hengrove added more goals before the end of the first half with Jake Baldock, Luke Lipinski and Scott Lewis 2. Frys also added another goal through Scriven. The second half started with chances at both ends before Jon Readings got on the end of a Gary Shorney cross to increase Hengroves lead. Further goals from Luke Lipinski and Jake Baldock 2 (a hat trick) sealed the victory for Hengrove. Scriven scored a consolation goal for Frys to seal his hat trick. |
